Originally used for making cheese, today cheesecloth has a wide variety of uses. Our Good Cook Everyday Cheesecloth is a full two square yards, made from lint-free 100 percent cotton. Use it for straining soup stock or custard, for wrapping herbs before adding them to soup, for butter-blanketing a turkey, or for straining infused oils, vinegars, or cocktails. This food grade cheesecloth is a grade 10 weave and is bleached to remove impurities. It's oven safe to 450 degrees. Cheesecloth can also be used for cleaning and dusting.
Preparation & Usage
Quick Tip To make "bouquet gami", wrap a small bunch of herbs in a 4 inch square cheesecloth, and tie into bundle with kitchen twine.
