CHICKEN CHOW MEIN

2 tbsp Tamari Soy Sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp Shaoxing wine or sake
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp sugar
½ lb. boneless skinless chicken breast thinly sliced
12 oz chow mein noodles uncooked
1 cup carrot julienned
2 cups cabbage finely shredded
½ red bell pepper finely sliced
1 cup bean sprouts optional
1 scallion chopped
1 tbsp cooking oil
Directions
- 
In a small bowl, mix the sauce ingredients.
 - 
Marinate chicken with 1 tablespoon of the sauce for about 10 minutes.
 - 
Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions.
 - 
Heat cooking oil in a wok or a large pan over medium high heat.
 - 
Cook chicken strips until golden brown. Remove from pan, set aside.
 - 
Sauté carrots, cabbage, and red bell pepper for a few minutes until softened.
 - 
Add chicken and noodles. Pour sauce over and stir fry for about 1 minute.
 - 
Add scallions and bean sprouts (optional), toss for about 30 seconds.
 - 
Serve immediately.
